Before submitting a complaint
A negative review is not automatically a policy breach. Review Zimbabwe aims to protect genuine customer expression while addressing false, unlawful, abusive or privacy-invasive content.
How to complain
Email support@reviewzimbabwe.com and include:
- Your full name and contact information.
- Your relationship to the business or content.
- The exact page address and review or listing concerned.
- The specific statements or information being challenged.
- A clear explanation of why the material is inaccurate, unlawful or against policy.
- Relevant supporting documents or evidence.
- The outcome you are requesting.
What happens next
We may acknowledge the complaint, preserve relevant records, request more information, contact the reviewer or business, temporarily restrict content and make a moderation decision.
We will consider privacy, safety, supporting evidence, freedom of expression, the public interest, our policies and applicable law.
Possible outcomes
- No action where the content appears lawful and policy-compliant.
- Correction of objective listing information.
- Privacy editing or redaction.
- Temporary restriction while evidence is reviewed.
- Removal or permanent restriction.
- Account action where misuse or repeated breaches are found.
Reviewer notification
Where appropriate, a reviewer may be informed of the complaint and given a reasonable opportunity to provide context or evidence. We may withhold information where disclosure creates a safety, privacy or legal risk.
Urgent risks
Clearly mark the email as urgent where content exposes sensitive personal data, creates an immediate safety risk or is subject to a court or regulatory order.
Abuse of the process
False notices, intimidation, forged documents and repeated attempts to suppress lawful criticism may result in refusal of the complaint, account restrictions or other appropriate action.
